LED screens where people wait

In-store media for high-traffic retail

Runx is a network of LED screens placed where people stand still — the queue at a truck stop, the pharmacy counter at a national retail chain. One vertical screen per location. It carries what the room needs: weather on the road ahead, store and service information, and the promotions the location runs for itself. The rest of the loop is what pays for it.

The company

A screen that gives the room something back

Runx Inc has operated LED screens since 2022, starting at truck stops and now moving into national retail. The location provides floor space and an outlet; the hardware, the install and the upkeep are ours.

Part of every loop is never sold. It carries what the person waiting actually needs — weather on the road ahead for a driver, store and service information for a shopper — plus the air time the location keeps for its own promotions. Advertising pays for the screen; the useful part is why anyone looks at it.

What the screen gives back

  • Weather ahead, and open jobs, for a driver
  • Store hours, services and today's offers, for a shopper
  • Air time the location keeps for itself

Where the screens go

Two kinds of room, one screen

The product does not change with the room. What changes is who is standing in front of it, how long they stay, and which categories belong on the screen.

Retail & healthcare

Shoppers and patients, at the counter

A shorter wait, many times more of it — the pharmacy pick-up counter, the checkout queue, the clinic or dental waiting room. The same few square feet turn over all day, every day.

  • National chains, single stores, clinics, dental and doctors' offices
  • No cameras and no data collected — the screen clears privacy review

Truck stops & travel plazas

CDL drivers and owner-operators

The longest wait in American retail. A driver is parked for a shower, a meal and a shift break, and the fuel desk queue alone runs into the tens of minutes.

  • Recruiting, factoring, ELD, insurance, financing, clinics, repair
  • Live across the busiest freight corridors since 2022
The Open Loop

The part of the loop that is not for sale

Every Runx loop is split three ways, and one of the three has no price. It cannot be bought — not by an advertiser, not by the location, not at any budget. It carries what the person standing there actually needs, and it stays that size whether the screen is fully booked or half empty.

Sold

Advertiser slots

Full-screen, one player per category. This is what pays for the screen, the install and the upkeep.

Yours

The location's own air

20% of the loop, run by the location for its own promotions, hours, hiring and offers.

Open

The Open Loop

Never sold to anyone. Weather on the road ahead, store and service information, what is useful in this room today.

This is the reason people look at the screen at all. A loop that is nothing but advertising gets ignored, and an ignored screen is worth nothing to the advertiser either.

What it is

One screen. Full height. Full attention.

The screen

4.2 × 6.3 ft, vertical, full color. Installed in two hours, runs off a standard outlet.

The loop

Roughly 3.5 to 5 minutes. Your spot comes back around while the same person is still standing there — not lost among dozens of others.

The audience

Nobody here is rushing past. They are standing in a queue with time to spare, and this is the only screen in front of them.

The format
Runx unit — front view
Runx unit — front view

A free-standing tower, not a poster on a wall

One vertical LED unit rolls into the waiting area on locking casters and plugs into an ordinary outlet. Your spot runs full screen — no sidebar, no banner, nothing sharing the frame with you.

  • Full screen, vertical

1080 × 1620 px, 15 or 30 seconds. Your creative owns the entire panel.

  • A short loop

A tight rotation, so your spot comes back around while the same person is still standing there.

  • One player per category

A booked category is closed for the whole term. Your competitor never stands next to you.

The network, and what comes next

Every pin is a location and its stage: a screen already running, a location we are in talks with, or a site targeted for install. The map is the rollout, not a wish list.
